Central Florida's Rayniah Jones and Arkansas' Destiny Huven finished first and third for the United States in the women's 100-meter hurdles final at the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Under-23 Championships at the National Stadium in San Jose, Costa Rica. Jones ran a wind-legal 12.78 seconds to capture the gold medal, with Huven running 13.19 to earn bronze. Jones also contributed to the Americans winning the 4x100-meter relay title in a meet-record 42.74 seconds, teaming with Georgia's Kaila Jackson, Oregon City High graduate and Illinois signee Sophia Beckmon, as well as incoming Lake Oswego High senior Mia Brahe-Pedersen. The U.S. eclipsed the meet record of 42.93 established by an American quartet in 2016 in El Salvador.
